Job Brief

We are partnering with a US-based software development group to hire a highly strategic Chief AI Strategist (SaaS Portfolio). This is a unique, high-impact role focused on driving AI strategy, execution, and adoption across a portfolio of software companies.

You will operate at the intersection of business operations and applied AI, identifying high-value opportunities, launching initiatives, and ensuring execution delivers measurable outcomes. This is not a purely technical role—it is designed for a business-minded AI leader who can influence senior stakeholders and drive transformation across multiple organizations.

Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Portfolio Discovery

• Lead structured AI discovery sessions across portfolio companies
• Identify high-impact opportunities using a pain-first, ROI-driven approach
• Build and maintain a prioritized AI opportunity pipeline
• Present business cases and recommendations to senior leadership

Program & Project Execution

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives from ideation to deployment
• Define success metrics and track post-implementation outcomes
• Manage multiple AI projects across different companies simultaneously
• Maintain a centralized AI roadmap across the portfolio

Stakeholder & Change Management

• Work directly with CEOs, operators, and technical teams
• Influence decision-making across organizations without direct authority
• Drive alignment across diverse stakeholders and business units

AI Adoption & Capability Building

• Build and scale an internal network of AI Champions
• Develop playbooks, frameworks, and reusable AI assets
• Lead AI literacy and enablement programs across teams

Vendor & Technology Evaluation

• Assess AI tools, platforms, and vendors relevant to portfolio needs
• Lead RFPs, pilot programs, and build-vs-buy decisions
• Manage relationships with external partners and consultants

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in roles bridging business and technology (e.g., consulting, product, operations, program management)
• Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management, including C-suite engagement
• Experience driving outcomes in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• MBA or equivalent experience is an advantage but not required

Preferred

• Hands-on exposure to AI, automation, or digital transformation projects
• Background in SaaS, B2B tech, or software environments
• Experience in multi-entity or portfolio-based organizations (e.g., PE, holding companies)
• Familiarity with tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, Microsoft Copilot, or LLM platforms
• Exposure to change management and adoption strategies
