Senior Staff Engineer, AI

• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end AI/ML systems — from data ingestion and training to deployment and monitoring.
• Define best practices for model lifecycle management, feature engineering, and MLOps infrastructure.
• Ensure scalability, robustness, and efficiency across AI platforms.

• Drive key AI initiatives that influence multiple product lines.
• Review, guide, and optimize the design of ML models, APIs, and distributed ML pipelines.
• Ensure system performance, ethical AI practices, and compliance with security and governance standards.

• Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and translate research into production use cases.
• Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies like LLMs, generative AI, and reinforcement learning into Movius products.

• Mentor senior ML engineers and data scientists on technical design, experimentation, and model evaluation.
• Collaborate with Product and Data teams to convert business problems into AI-driven solutions with measurable impact.

• Own the AI systems roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of scalable models and services.
• Define standards for testing, explainability, and monitoring of AI models in production.

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Data Science, including 3+ years in applied AI/ML leadership roles.
• Proven experience architecting, deploying, and maintaining production-scale ML systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with expertise in ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience with ML pipelines and tools such as Kubeflow, Airflow, Vertex AI, or SageMaker.
• Deep understanding of machine learning fundamentals, model lifecycle management, and real-world deployment.
• Expertise in cloud-based ML infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.

• Experience working with LLMs, transformer architectures, vector databases, and RAG pipelines.
• Understanding of AI safety, fairness, and explainability principles.
• Publications, patents, or open-source contributions in AI/ML.
• Domain knowledge in NLP, speech, computer vision, or recommendation systems.
