You will be responsible for the following: 

Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Leads the shared vision and roadmap for the use of data and AI within assigned business/enabling units, aligning with enterprise Data & AI and business strategies.

  • Builds and maintains C‑level and senior leadership relationships with key pillars in the unit; secures sponsorship, budgets, and resources for priority initiatives.

  • Facilitates portfolio‑level prioritization of use cases and capabilities, balancing value, risk, complexity, and readiness.

  • Represents the Data Office in relevant leadership forums, steering committees, and cross‑functional councils.

Data & AI Adoption and Value Realization

  • Oversees the end‑to‑end adoption lifecycle of Data & AI solutions: from opportunity discovery, solution design, experimentation and piloting, up to scaled rollout and business embedding.

  • Guides customers (business owners, product leads, operations heads) through the successful adoption and implementation of Data and AI solutions, ensuring clear success metrics, baselines, and value tracking.

  • Works closely with assigned business/enabling units to deeply understand their strategies, operating model, and pain points, and translates these into a pipeline of data & AI use cases, experiments, and products.

  • Ensures that the unit consistently achieves its targeted outcomes (e.g., uplift in revenue, reduction in losses, improved CSAT/NPS, process efficiency gains) from the company’s Data and AI products and platforms.

Portfolio Design, Delivery, and Governance

  • Designs and leads initiatives, programs, and products together with function leads and cross‑functional teams (Tribes, Technology, Risk, Compliance, etc.) to realize optimal business value from GCash’s Data & AI assets.

  • Acts as product and program sponsor for major data/AI initiatives within the unit: sets direction, defines scope, clarifies roles, and ensures alignment on delivery timelines and dependencies.

  • Anticipates and manages organizational, technical, and regulatory risks, proactively unblocking issues across teams.

  • Ensures integration of Data & AI initiatives with enterprise data architecture, platforms, and operating model, working closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Governance teams.

Data & AI Strategy, Governance, and Risk Management

  • Champions GCash’s Data and AI strategy, standards, and best practices within assigned units and across the company.

  • Fosters a culture of compliance with data privacy regulations, responsible AI practices, and the Data and AI Governance Framework.

  • Partners with Data Governance, Compliance, Legal, and InfoSec to ensure initiatives meet regulatory and risk requirements while enabling innovation.

  • Drives adoption of data quality, accessibility, and lifecycle management standards, ensuring that data outputs are fit for purpose, well‑documented, and reusable.

People Leadership and Capability Building

  • Builds the data & AI literacy of business stakeholders through targeted enablement programs, playbooks, and training sessions.

  • Promotes a high‑performance, experimentation‑friendly culture that balances speed, rigor, and governance.

Measurement and Continuous Improvement

  • Is accountable for the quality, accessibility, analysis, and management of data outputs that drive innovations, actionable intelligence, and tangible value to the assigned business unit.

  • Establishes and tracks KPIs and OKRs for Data & AI adoption (e.g., number of use cases in production, value realized, adoption/usage metrics, time‑to‑value).

  • Continuously refines operating routines, engagement models, and toolkits based on feedback and learnings from initiatives.

Competencies and Qualifications

Core Competencies

  • Advanced stakeholder influence and engagement: Proven ability to influence senior and executive stakeholders, secure sponsorship, and align multiple teams around shared outcomes.

  • Strong business acumen: Able to articulate and quantify the value of Data & AI in a variety of business contexts (e.g., growth, risk, cost, customer experience).

  • Deep understanding of operational metrics of assigned business units and their impact on P&L, revenue, customer retention, loss rates, risk, and operational efficiency.

  • General technical fluency: Strong understanding of quantitative analytics, data science concepts, and structured problem solving; able to bridge business and technical teams.

  • Process and product management mastery: Can direct analytics and AI initiatives from ideation through experimentation, productionization, and adoption, with clear understanding of lifecycle stages, handshakes, and common pitfalls.

  • Entrepreneurial mind‑set: Demonstrates enthusiasm, resilience, and business savvy to navigate technical, organizational, and regulatory roadblocks; comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving change.

  • Leadership and people management: Experience leading high‑performing teams, setting direction, giving feedback, and developing talent.

  • Communication and storytelling: Able to translate complex data & AI concepts into compelling narratives and business‑friendly materials for diverse audiences.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Business, Economics, or related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.

  • May also have self‑taught or equivalent experience in a STEM or analytics‑related field.

  • Typically 8–10+ years of experience in data, analytics, digital, product, consulting, or related domains, including 3+ years in people leadership and/or senior stakeholder‑facing roles.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering data/AI initiatives into production with clear business value, ideally in financial services, fintech, or technology‑driven organizations.
