Job Description:
Summary:
As the single-point leader for hospital access in the assigned region, RHAL will translate IPSEN’s national hospital affairs strategy into executable regional plans that secure product listing and safe operation in Tier-1/2 hospitals and key networks. You will orchestrate high-impact customer engagements and coach a high-performing team to deliver NRDL, NEDL and VBP landing results while ensuring full compliance and patient-centric access.
Main responsibility:
Regional Strategy & Target Delivery
Cascade the national hospital access strategy into quarterly regional OKRs (listing rate, safe-operation score, speed-to-patient).
Allocate budget, headcount and project resources across provinces to maximize ROI.
Track leading indicators (hospital readiness, formulary timeline, compliance index) and trigger counter-measures early.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Map the decision-making chain of target hospitals and aligned with mastery growth plan; maintain live heat-maps of access risk/opportunity.
Lead face-to-face negotiations with hospital presidents, pharmacy chiefs and procurement heads to secure formulary addition and safe-use protocols.
Orchestrate regional advisory boards, multi-disciplinary meetings and patient-flow workshops to strengthen IPSEN scientific branding.
Team Leadership & Development
Coach Hospital Affairs Managers on stakeholder segmentation, value storytelling and compliant influencing skills.
Run monthly field-ride days and quarterly capability clinics; build succession bench strength through 70-20-10 learning plans.
Own performance management cycle: set SMART goals, give real-time feedback, calibrate ratings with NHAD.
Cross-Functional Integration
Partner with regional Commercial, Medical, BEX and Finance to create one integrated customer plan per flagship account.
Escalate policy roadblocks early and co-design solutions with Government Affairs & HEOR.
Share best-practices horizontally across regions via the IPSEN Access Community of Practice.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or above, with major in medicine, pharmaceutical or MBA preferred
Experience:
≥10 years in multinational pharma company sales/access/key account roles, including ≥5 years as second line managers for key account management, with proven record of listing and safe operation.
Competencies:
working with matrix setting for complex project management.
Matrix leadership – able to influence without authority.
fluent in Mandarin and business fluence in English.
