Description

Job Summary: 

onsemi is seeking a highly effective, energetic, and highly organized individual with great communications skills to be responsible for planning of inventory, supplies, and capital goods.  This person keeps records of all acquisitions to ensure that purchases remain within budget and on schedule. Creates requisitions and checks each item for quantity, specifications, and delivery requirements. This person will serve as liaison to vendors and suppliers. Investigates supply sources, issues request for quotations, proposals or bids for those items not covered by any existing purchasing arrangement. Ideally, this person will apply buyer methodologies and techniques to accomplish planning goals.  Some travel will be required for this role.


 



Responsibilities

·       Be at the center of developing processes to ensure success for onsemi’s attainment of several corporate goals.

·       Work with stakeholders from multiple organizations to ensure corporate goal attainment

·       Aggregate and track project qualifications (tool delivery, qualifications, PCN) until production ramp is achieved

·       Aggregate and track product/site transfers to completion working with BU & PM counterparts

·       Aggregate supply resiliency requirements and work with operations & external manufacturing teams on resiliency plans

·       Provide forecast visibility to manufacturing sites by coordinating with the BU(Business Units) and SP (Supply Planning)

.       Deliver Last-Time-Buy(LTB) and Bridge Quantity Requirements to project manager through effective co-ordination with BU and SP

·       Identify, diagnose, and execute on opportunities to improve the inventory forecasting, control, and tracking.

·       Document the “As Is” and “To Be” systems and processes and roadmap.

·       Develop KPIs and metrics and report progress on a regular cadence.



Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field is preferred.  A combination of job-related experience, ongoing educational progress, and related certification may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 7+ years experience in supply chain / operations
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities within established deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Bachelors in Operations/SCM
  • Candidate should have basic to intermediate proficiency in AI tools relevant to productivity and decision-making. 
  • Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms for drafting reports and SOPs, generating training materials & supporting decision-making with quick data insights.
