Who we are looking for:
The Application Developer – Assistant Vice President will be responsible for requirement analysis, functional solution design, and technical support for billing systems.
You will work closely with global development teams throughout the full SDLC lifecycle, focusing on implementation strategy discussions and collaborative solution design to support business billing, settlement, and revenue-related needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong Java development expertise, financial system domain knowledge, and the ability to independently communicate with global stakeholders in English.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
As an Application Developer, you will:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand billing, settlement, pricing, invoicing, and revenue-related business workflows.
- Perform requirement analysis and contribute to functional and technical solution design for billing or financial systems.
- Provide technical support for application issues, including troubleshooting and resolving production incidents in a timely manner.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based extensions, services, and integration components.
- Build and support system integrations with upstream and downstream applications using APIs, messaging, or file-based interfaces.
- Independently communicate with global teams, offshore vendors, and business stakeholders in English to drive requirement clarification and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and senior leaders to define technical solutions, delivery plans, and implementation strategies.
- Ensure system performance, stability, and scalability, supporting client onboarding and operational needs.
- Participate in or lead system upgrades, enhancements, patches, and migration activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation covering system design, configurations, customizations, and operational processes.
Educational Requirements and Required Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience, including Core Java, J2EE, and enterprise application development.
- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate / JPA.
- Experience building RESTful APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), and service-oriented or microservices-based architectures.
- 5+ years of experience developing, configuring, or supporting billing systems, settlement systems, or other financial systems.
- Strong understanding of financial system domains, such as billing, pricing models, invoicing, payment processing, settlement, or revenue recognition.
- Strong experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL (or equivalent enterprise RDBMS).
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical and production issues.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to independently communicate, collaborate, and present to global stakeholders, including business users and technical teams.
- Ability to drive development, testing, and support activities by coordinating effectively with multiple stakeholders across regions.
