With a portfolio of more than 200 brands enjoyed by billions of consumers globally, we are committed to driving sustainable growth and creating value for our customers, communities, and stakeholders.

The Director, Environmental Sustainability leads the GC&M OU’s end‑to‑end environmental sustainability agenda within the TISC QSE organization, ensuring strategies are risk‑based, technically sound, and fully integrated into system operations. The role owns the development and execution of the OU environmental sustainability strategy across water, packaging and emissions, translating global commitments into compliant, measurable, and scalable outcomes.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Lead Environmental Sustainability Strategy & Governance: Lead and shape the OU environmental sustainability strategy and roadmap across water, packaging, and emissions, ensuring alignment with global commitments and business objectives. Establish robust governance, clear targets, and performance tracking to drive accountability and transparency. Translate global strategies into OU-specific execution plans, embedding sustainability-by-design principles across innovation, manufacturing, and supply chain operations
  • Risk Management, Compliance & QSE Integration: Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, food safety, and QSE requirements, including KORE standards and license-to-operate obligations. Lead environmental sustainability risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, with a focus on water and emissions risks, packaging compliance, and environmental impacts. Serve as the primary escalation point for critical environmental sustainability risks and incidents, partnering with QSE, PACS, and bottlers to drive timely corrective actions and protect system integrity.
  • Data Governance, Reporting & Digital Enablement: Own environmental sustainability data governance across the OU, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and audit readiness across water, packaging, and emissions metrics. Oversee environmental sustainability reporting and disclosures in line with global, regulatory, and external requirements, in close collaboration with PACS and global teams. Drive adoption of digital platforms to enable accurate data capture, performance tracking, and data‑driven decision making
  • Operational Sustainability & System Capability Building: Enable environmental sustainability excellence across bottlers by strengthening capabilities in water efficiency, carbon reduction, sustainable packaging, and waste reduction solutions. Partner with Technical Operations, Supply Chain, Innovation, and bottlers to embed sustainability into manufacturing processes, equipment standards, and operating models. Drive systemwide capability building, knowledge sharing, and best‑practice standardization to elevate environmental sustainability maturity across the OU.
  • Investment, Partnerships & External Engagement: Influence environmental sustainability‑related OPEX and CAPEX investment plans, including infrastructure, technology, and strategic partnerships that support long‑term goals. Lead external engagement with regulators, industry associations, NGOs, and partners to protect license to operate and support benchmarking and policy dialogue. Bring external insights, emerging trends, and best practices into the system to strengthen environmental sustainability strategy, execution, and competitive positioning.
  • Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned, in response to evolving business needs and market dynamics.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or above in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline with around 8+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental auditing and assurance at FMCG companies.
  • Experience creating, implementing, and monitoring sustainability reporting procedures.
  • Proven track record in large-scale transformation programs and change management.
  • Operational sustainability leadership in water.
  • Franchise and functional leadership experience.
  • Strong risk management and communication capabilities.
  • Knowledge of system economics, value chain, and supply chain finance.
