Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a scalable data architecture to enable training of AI models for robotics as well as for material and component development.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines for collection, storage, processing, and provisioning of large and complex datasets.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all stages of the data lifecycle.
  • Support the development and deployment of AI models and provide expert guidance to project teams.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for data-driven methods and AI architecture within the organization.
  • Collaborate with motion control and application specialists to integrate sensory and control data for AI training and model deployment.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure supporting foundation models (e.g., LLM, VLM, VLA) for robotic perception, reasoning, and action planning.
  • Build scalable pipelines to train and fine-tune large models using real-world and simulated data.
  • Integrate VLM/VLA models with robotics systems to enable multimodal understanding (vision-language-action) and adaptive task execution.
  • Contribute to the creation of simulation-to-real pipelines for humanoid robotics.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or above in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industry or academia.
  • Proven experience in data architecture design and data pipeline development (batch and streaming).
  • Familiarity with cloud or on-premises data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Hadoop, Spark).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks.
  • Practical experience working with foundation models (e.g., LLM, VLM, VLA) or large-scale AI systems.
  • Understanding data management best practices.
  • Experience with AI/ML methods (e.g., Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning).
  • Knowledge of robotics data (sensor data, simulation, telemetry).
  • Experience in motion data processing and control signal modeling.
  • Experience with training, fine-tuning, or integrating foundation models for robotic applications.
  • Background in data governance and security standards.
  • Understanding of digital twin workflows and control-policy optimization.
