Job Responsibilities
* Define and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with GE Hangwei's overall business objectives and long-term vision in the medical systems domain.
* Lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of cutting-edge AI/ML technologies and solutions across product development, clinical applications, and operational efficiency.
* Establish and oversee the AI research and development roadmap, fostering a culture of innovation and scientific excellence within the AI team.
* Collaborate closely with product development, engineering, clinical affairs, and regulatory teams to ensure the ethical, safe, and effective integration of AI into medical devices and software.
* Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of AI scientists, engineers, and data specialists.
* Develop and implement robust data governance strategies, ensuring data quality, privacy, and security in compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NMPA).
* Represent GE Hangwei as a thought leader in AI within the medical technology industry, presenting at conferences, engaging with key opinion leaders, and fostering strategic partnerships.
* Monitor emerging AI trends, competitive landscapes, and technological advancements to maintain GE Hangwei's leadership position.
* Manage AI-related budgets, resources, and project timelines effectively.
Job Qualifications
* Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
* Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in AI/ML leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior executive or chief-level position, preferably within the medical device, healthcare technology, or pharmaceutical industries.
* Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and deploying impactful AI solutions in complex, regulated environments.
* Deep expertise in various AI methodologies, including deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
* Strong understanding of medical imaging, diagnostic workflows, and clinical decision support systems.
* Extensive experience with data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, NMPA), and ethical considerations in AI for healthcare.
* Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire high-performing technical teams.
* Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex AI concepts to diverse audiences.
* Experience with cloud AI platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and various AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
* Fluency in English and Mandarin is highly preferred.
